Rob Kursinski - Data Acquisition
Professor, University of Arizona
Research Scientist, Jet Propulsion Labs
Rob has been involved with several racing teams since 1981. He
has worked on various data acquisition programs, including developing
an early video and data-recording device in the early 80's. He currently
is involved in all facets of data acquisition that is used to develop
and improve the racecars. Since many race teams feel that it might
take a rocket scientist to handle certain tasks, Protomotive Racing
wanted to make
sure they had one available on their team. Rob has a Ph.D. in Planetary
Science from Cal Tech and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from
USC. He is currently involved in a multinational group that is using
Global Positioning Satellites to track changes in the earth's atmosphere
and is lead scientist on a JPL project team developing a Mars surface
