Roger Foo - Driver
The driver for the no.88 car is Roger Foo, a privateer who ran
a Honda Civic in the 2001 season and recorded an amazing win at
Laguna Seca, by just crushing the big efforts from BMW and Acura
Teams. Roger has also proven to be a crowd and commentator favorite
partly due to the fact he was able to compete so well on an extremely
limited budget.
Foo captured the 2001 Rookie of the year honors in Speedvision
Touring Car off the strength of one win and two top-10 finishes.
Foo was also honored with the Special Achievement Award from SCCA
Pro Racing, presented to the driver or team exuding high levels
of sportsmanship, presentation, a top level of performance and an
overall positive impact in the series.
In 2000 Roger Foo ran three races in a Speedvision Touring Honda
Civic Si hatchback, recording a top-10 finish of sixth at San Diego.
Earned the Borla Performance Award at San Diego. Foo began racing
in SCCA Club Racing events in 1985 at Sears Point. Competed in the
IMSA Champion Spark Plug Challenge in 1986. Ran the old Speedvision
Cup in 1997. He has been a National Autosport Association instructor
and driver since 1996.
